Last night at Le Meurice, art and design-world cognoscenti wrapped up the week’s non-stop festivities with the kind of warm, candlelit dinner that only CULTURED can throw. Cohosted by Editor-in-Chief Sarah Harrelson and arts leader Jen Roberts, along with collector Jamie Goguen, the night was a heartfelt coda to a busy week—replete with a feast by Alain Ducasse and pastry chef Cedric Grolet, and staged within the hotel’s Salon Pompadour.

The Locale: Within Le Meurice—a mainstay of the Dorchester Collection across from the Tuileries—the Salon Pompadour’s crystal, velvet, and gold leaf accoutrement set the stage for an unforgettable evening. This is where Pablo Picasso married Olga Khokhlova in 1918; there’s a faint mark on the wall from a rogue cork that struck a portrait during the revelry.

The Crowd: A mix of art and design figures from across the world. Among the crowd were gallerists Brendan Dugan, Daniel Roesler, Oscar Sunderland, Jennifer Olshin, and François Laffanour; designers Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch, Colin King, Lee F. Mindel and José Marty, Tommaso Rositani Suckert, Adam D. and Marnie Tihany, Giovanna Ferrero Ventimiglia, and Caterina Heil Stewart; Sotheby’s CEO Charles F. Stewart; and Independent Art Fair founder Elizabeth Dee. Also in the mix were Schiaparelli Global Commercial VP Virginie Marie, Perrier-Jouët Global Creative Director Axelle de Buffévent, patrons Grace and Maurizio Borletti, patron Pamela Hornik, curators Eleonora Rebecchini and Bia Rosa, Roos & Roos perfumer Alexandra Roos, and collector François Sarkozy.

What You Missed: A rare confluence of heritage interiors, artworld lore, spirited energy, a masterclass in art-world gossip, and much-needed respite from the Art Week bustle.

Parting Gift: Guests disappeared into the Paris night with a copy of the inaugural CULTURED at Home issue and a bottle of Roos & Roos’s Les Larmes de Tirésias fragrance. Which smells better—the sumptuous fragrance or freshly printed pages? You decide.
