Moynat has made a name for itself by making other's names more special. The century-plus old brand originated as a trunk-maker in pre-industrial France. Through railroad expansion, Art Deco, and the evolution of fashion, the leather house became a go-to bag-maker, prized not only for its fine accessories dressed in dazzling monograms, but for the Moynat's special finishing touch: hand-painted crests and initials.

Timed with the 103rd anniversary of its Canvas 1920 M, the house launched a traveling pop-up entitled Moynat World Tour this past January in which artists hand-paint a range of designs on bags and small leather goods at locations around the globe. The inaugural edition took place at the world's first department store, Paris’s Le Bon Marché Rive, and now the brand is back for two-part second chapter in Florida.

Beginning today April 4, Moynat will be in Miami at Saks Bal Harbour for a six-day pop-up before heading to the retailer's Palm Beach branch from April 12-17. Artisans directly from Moynat's atelier will be on-hand at both occasions to hand-paint designs on a special selection of bags and small leather goods, including an exclusive capsule collection: Moynat's Oh! Tote bags and matching pouches featuring limited-edition colored ribbons. Where is the brand to go after the two coastal cultural capitals? With limitless imagination, time will only tell.
