Collaboration is a tool for creativity, as diverse perspectives influence new approaches to thought. During Art Basel, from December 5-9, interdisciplinary collective RAW POP UP and ninety creators, performers and musicians collaborated in efforts to lay hold of Miami’s underground scene. These artists came together to transform an abandoned department store in the heart of downtown Miami. Cultured partnered with the collaborative movement for the official Basel kickoff party welcoming featured artists and contributors from our winter issue. RAW POP UP’s interactive Art Movement (IAM) attracted an attendance of 10,112 guests including influential directors, curators, editors, city officials and locals from cultural institutions. RAW POP UP reclaimed the city during Miami art week as a hub for young creatives while offering a one of a kind experience under the Alt_Future theme.
