The holiday dinner, hosted by MacLachlan and editor-in-chief Sarah Harrelson, brought together artists, actors, and Real Housewives for a very Los Angeles evening.

To ring in the release of CULTURED’s Artists on Artists issue, Editor-in-Chief Sarah Harrelson gathered film, art, and cultural cognoscenti into her Los Angeles home for a festive, candlelit dinner. Co-hosted by Kyle MacLachlan, the issue’s digital cover star, alongside Harrelson and Aēsop, the evening’s blustery weather, roaring fire, and festive cocktails made it a highlight of the holiday party circuit. Guests moved from the garden, which overlooks sweeping views of Los Angeles, to the dining room, where rows of tables were laid with pine boughs.

The Locale: Harrelson’s cliffside home, where guests floated between the outdoors and the dining room, lined with towering holiday florals and work by several artists who have graced the magazine’s pages.

The Crowd: A mix of creative Angelenos—of both the moment and the canon—including I Love LA‘s Jordan Firstman and True Whitaker, Heated Rivalry‘s Hudson Williams, Jeanne Tripplehorn, MacLachlan, and Dolly Wells; artists Alex Israel, Jennifer Guidi, Callida Rawles, and Lauren Halsey; art dealers Sara Lee Hantman and Robert Goff; collector Sonya Yu; hotelier Benjamin Trigano; designers Alissa Zachary and Aurora James; and Real Housewives icon Lisa Rinna.

Aesop gifting
Aesop’s 2025 advent calendar, resting amidst the florals in Harrelson’s home.

Food and Drink: Attendees toasted with Ruinart champagne while  Chris Kronner’s Mayday group served up heartwarming seasonal fare—Baja tuna with parsley and lemon, honeynut squash terrine, coal-roasted duck, and a dark chocolate pudding to finish.

Parting Gift: A teetering tower of Aēsop gift kits was poised by the door. Event guest left with their arms full of the fragrant products—a morning-after refresher after a late-night dinner party. (Get yours here.)

What You Missed: Actors Jordan Firstman and Hudson Williams quashing the I Love LA/Heated Rivalry beef, once and for all. In fact, we thought they looked downright chummy sharing a cigarette by the pool.
