Warholian style settled over La Tête d’Or on Monday during the Andy Warhol Museum’s annual fundraising dinner, bringing together the city’s cultural vanguard to celebrate the late artist’s enduring influence. The evening was capped by twin activations: a live auction and a try-on session with Piaget’s watch collaboration. The design ethos for the Warhol-inspired pieces? “Very unexpected, just like his artwork,” the brand’s creative director, Stéphanie Sivrière, shares.
The Locale: La Tête d’Or, chef Daniel Boulud’s steakhouse venture located in One Madison, set the stage fort the evening with a warm, luminous backdrop and scrumptious bites.
The Crowd: Around the room, one could spot artists Mickalene Thomas and Isabelle Brourman; Pioneer Works Co-Founder Gabriel Florenz; Andy Warhol Museum director Mario Rossero; philanthropist and sister of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jeanine Heriveaux; interior designer Ramsey Lyons; philanthropists Kathe and Jim Patrinos; and collectors Nathalie and Stan Doobin, and Michael Lin and Jim Spencer.

Memorable Moment: Guests had the rare chance to try on Piaget’s Warhol-inspired watches, featuring emerald green and blue meteorite faces with technicolor bands—a fusion of haute horology and artistic flair. “We wanted to play with Andy Warhol’s artworks, to create an abstract version of them—an element of surprise,” Sivrière says.
Cause for FOMO: A lively fundraising auction by Sotheby’s Senior Vice President Christy Coombs punctuated the evening’s celebration—featuring work by Mickalene Thomas and a limited-edition set of Dom Pérignon adorned with Basquiat artwork—conducted in support of the museum’s exhibitions and ongoing programming.
