Vernissage is over but the Art Basel Miami Beach revelry is just starting. Abandoning the convention center after dark, collectors, gallerists, artists and friends descended on dinner plans. Ours involved a joint takeover of Mr. Chow alongside Phillips and The Bass. The evening had a set agenda, dedicated to artist Lara Favaretto, who recently opened a solo show at The Bass and unveiled a new site-specific work at the museum, titled Gummo VI. Dining together after a day stalking the halls shoulder-to-shoulder, the event provided an opportunity for decompression and a little levity.
