Tulips bloomed in Miami—in crafted leather, that is. Marni’s new Miami Design District store and the Tulipea bag made their U.S. debut last week, turning the boutique into a miniature runway for sculptural florals, soft suede, and springlike elegance—a lush visualization of the accessory’s world-building potential.
The Scene: Soft lighting and curated floral accents mirrored the Tulipea bag’s sculptural curves, creating an atmosphere of understated elegance. Guests mingled among displays that blurred notions the lines between a gallery and garden.
The Locale: Marni’s brand-new Miami Design District boutique, a sleek canvas for minimalist interiors and sunlit display windows, which set the stage for the first U.S. unveiling of the Fall/Winter 2025 Tulipea bag. The 4,065-square-foot space balances nature and modernity through wood paneling, rattan accents, and a glass façade that floods the interiors with natural light.

The Crowd: Tastemakers on hand included advisor Spring McManus; entrepreneurs Jennifer Leebow, Tara Benmeleh, Estefania Lacayo, and Chanda Carroll; basketball player Thomas Robinson; Marni and Jil Sander North America Managing Director Phung Truong; stylist London Wilmot; activists Gabriella Smith and Angeles Almuna; artist Anastasia Samoylova; and arts executive Munisha Underhill.
What You Missed: An intimate preview of Marni’s latest additions before their global launch, as well as a preview of how this crowd will be working the pieces into their already teeming wardrobes.
Cause for FOMO: VIPs got the first opportunity to handle the Tulipea in citronelle, brandy, coffee, and black—a tactile experience the broader public will soon see online and in Miami stores.
