The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County has announced the return of MOSAIC—Month of Shows, Art, Ideas, and Culture—for a sixth year. Throughout the month of May, the county’s cultural and arts institutions will invite residents and visitors for special programming and great deals, making the thriving, local arts scene more accessible than ever.

Head to mosaicpbc.com for the full slate of activities and opportunities this month. In Palm Beach, visit The Society of the Four Arts to see its latest exhibition. In West Palm Beach, try the Cox Science Center and Aquarium, Mounts Botanical Garden, or the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. In Jupiter, the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum, and Loggerhead Marinelife Center are all participating, as is the Boca Raton Museum of Art and Delray Beach’s Arts Garage

This year, the Cultural Council is also introducing Palm Beach County Open Studios, a free event that invites onlookers to peek inside the studios of local artisans. Painters, glass blowers, photographers, jewelry makers, sculptors, printmakers, and more are slated to participate in the half-day event, running on May 20 from noon to 5 P.M.

Those who visit the studios will have the opportunity to purchase pieces directly from the artists, and to watch a number of demonstrations. If you’re looking to check out the entire list of participants and activities—whether you are a local planning a family outing, or a prospective tourist perusing what Palm Beach County might have to offer—you can find more information online, where guides outlining the local institutions and creative professionals are available.
