Last week, PARAISO Miami Beach debuted its hybrid digital activation in the Magic City, bringing last year’s back-to-back runway shows home to viewers through curated, live-streamed presentations, giveaways and captivating campaign shoots. “We wanted to embrace the shift that is currently happening in the industry and allow designers to present their upcoming collections in their own way” says Natalija Dedic Stojanovic, Creative Director of PARAISO. This year’s second annual PARAISO Upcycle Challenge—which aims to raise awareness around sustainability in the fashion industry—invited Normaillot, Charlie Holiday, Agua Bendita, Perry Ellis and Chromat to mentor five student finalists from the nearby Miami International University of Art and Design.
