Last night the Tribeca Film Festival and Chanel celebrated the fifth rendition of their grant-making series, THROUGH HER LENS: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program, by awarding writer/director Hannah Peterson full production funds to produce the feature length film, CHAMP. The cocktail hour was attended by jurors Diane Kruger, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Dede Gardner, Sam Taylor-Johnson and Paula Weinstein, all of whom are committed to seeing more female filmmakers entering and leading the field. CHAMP will screen in all its glory at next year’s festival. We can’t wait for the results.
