Fcukers’s 2023 debut at the sceney Brooklyn bar Baby’s All Right set the duo’s tone early. Shanny Wise and Jackson Walker Lewis’s take on electro-pop caught the attention of Tame Impala, who took them on the road last year. This summer, they’ll open for Harry Styles in Brazil.

What are you looking forward to this year?

Shanny Wise: Can’t wait to go play in Brazil opening for Harry Styles. Never been to South America before.

Jackson Walker Lewis: Same. The size of those stadiums is crazy.

What keeps you up at night?

Wise: My insomnia.

Lewis: 169 Bar.

What would you wear to meet your greatest enemy?

Lewis: Full camo fit. Surprise attack!

What would you be doing if you weren’t working in your field?

Wise: I always thought it would be kinda cool to work for the MTA driving a train.

Lewis: I always wanted to build artisanal furniture. I probably will after all this mania!

What’s your biggest vice? Your greatest virtue?

Wise: Biggest vice: Zyns. Greatest virtue: gratitude.

Lewis: Biggest vice: drunk/stress cigs. Greatest virtue: extreme empathy.

What do you think is your biggest contribution to culture?

Wise: “Play Me” music video.

Lewis: “Bon Bon” music video.

What would you like the headline of your obituary to be?

Wise: “Singer of FCUKERS Dies in a Monster Energy X-Games Motorcycle Accident.”

What’s one work of art that got you through an important moment in your life?

Wise: The Warriors.

Lewis: Lost in Translation.

What’s something people get wrong about you?

Lewis: That we don’t like indie. We do like indie!

What question do you ask yourself most often while you’re making work?

Wise: Is this lit?

Lewis: Do I like this?

What’s been the hardest part of your career so far?

Wise: Trying to figure out how to sleep. I’m not so good at sleeping in general, and especially not on planes. It’s a skill set I’m striving to improve in 2026.

Lewis: Getting used to the chaos of having no routine in a way. Always hard oscillating between tour life and home life.

What do you want to see more of in your industry? Less of?

Wise: Less social media, let’s get back to real life.
