London-based gallery Timothy Taylor opens Timothy Taylor 16 x 34, a brand-new outpost in New York’s Chelsea.

The inaugural program, “Architecture of Color: The Legacy of Luis Barragán,” will feature works by Mexico-based artists with whom Barragán had close ties—including Mathias Goeritz, Chucho Reyes and Eduardo Terrazas—alongside pieces by Josef Albers, Carl Andre, Dan Flavin, Sheila Hicks, Agnes Martin and Sean Scully that underscore the architect’s influential use of color. Curated by Oscar Humphries, the show opens September 23 and is on view through November 19.
