During Art Basel and set against Hong Kong’s skyline, Loro Piana created an ethereal escape celebrating the world’s most rare wool: Gift of Kings®. The dreamy installation on the 18th floor of H Queen’s Building immersed guests in a space where they could experience the finest wool in the world—an opportunity few have, due to its incredibly rare nature.

The installation featured an evanescent cloud-like sculpture, which floated inside the space, inviting visitors to step inside to touch and discover the Gift of Kings®. With Loro Piana’s deep connection to nature, through all of its endeavors, this connection was explored through the multi-room installation. Each room presents the wool as a natural phenomenon that conveys its characteristics: rain, waterfalls and waves portray softness, lightness and purity, respectively.

The exhibition opened with a private cocktail party attended by Vittoria Loro Piana, Luisa Loro Piana, Fabio d’Angelantonio (Global CEO) Bettina Prentice, Isolde Breilmaier, Kelly Chen, Raymond Lam, Michelle Ong-Cheung, Adrian Cheng, Kevin and Reina Chau, Yen Kuok, Victoria Tang-Owen, Edward Tang, Veronica Chou, Andrew Yuen, Gilbert Yeung, Yijia Tiong, Brandon Chau, Qiqi, Janet Ma, Cara G, Amanda S, Kirk Yip, Ruby Lam and more.
