The auction was the organization’s highest grossing fundraiser to date raising more than $900,000 in support of programs for artists and the public. More than $160,000 in commissions will be returned to participating artists.
Ninety-six live and silent lots included work by national and international artists Sadie Barnette, Tony Cragg, Bin Danh, Bike Depoorter, Mark Dion, Lucas Foglia, Lynn Hershman Leeson, David Maisel, and Gala Porras-Kim. Nearly half of the participating artists have taken part in Headlands’ world-renowned residencies.
On July 1, Headlands Center for the Arts will be announcing their incoming cohort of Affiliate Artists, Graduate Fellows, and Tournesol Awardee, artists who will be working at Headlands for a full year starting this summer. Visit www.headlands.org for more details.
