Hospitals are known to be uniformly staid and monochromatic places, unless, of course, they've been put in touch with RxArt.

Last night, the organization celebrated 25 years of its mission to bring world-class contemporary art into pediatric hospitals, with a party at the Seagram Building. It was the perfect opportunity to raise a glass to the 66 site-specific artist projects completed thus far, with 96 artists in 44 hospitals across 27 cities.

Honoring founder Diane Brown—alongside Drs. Barry and Bobbi Coller, and the collaborating artists, whose generosity has helped bring the organization's mission to life—the night drew an enviable crowd of art-world heavyweights. Joining CULTURED Editor-in-Chief Sarah Harrelson at the event were attendees including artists Mickalene Thomas, Derrick Adams, and Jeff Koons; collector and MoMA Chairman Agnes Gund; filmmaker Timothy Greenfield-Sanders; and Warby Parker CEO Neil Blumenthal.

Guests arrived at the Seagram's Grill, where a limited-edition Ed Ruscha print headlined an RxArt pop-up shop. It stood alongside works by Harold Ancart, Hilary Pecis, Nicolas Party, and Ewa Juszkiewicz. Over flowing champagne towers and dinner at the Pool, Derrick Adams delivered opening remarks before Brown was honored with a New York City Proclamation that declared Feb. 5, 2025, as RxART Day. "We ask the most exciting artists in the world to work with us, crossing our fingers and holding our breath every time," said Brown, "and I am so endlessly grateful for the willingness of these artists to say yes when we call.”

The festivities carried on long after dinner, with guests returning to the Grill for a rollicking DJ set by New York artists Angel + Dren. Beyond the glittering celebration, the night underscored a vital mission: Every dollar raised will fuel RxART’s next wave of projects, ensuring pediatric hospitals nationwide are infused with color, creativity, and most importantly, a renewed sense of inspiration.
