We’ve gotten used to seeing Winona Ryder as a wide-eyed scream queen as of late. She’s been hunting down aliens in Stranger Things and narrowly escaping the clutches of Beetlejuice in this year’s cult classic sequel. Yet the actor took a moment to go full glam in the latest campaign for Jimmy Choo's Autumn 2024 collection, aptly titled Glamour Refined.

Blending '90s nostalgia with contemporary elegance, the imagery sees Ryder dressed head-to-toe in black, sporting a flash of red in the form of the brand’s Cinch Bag. At the heart of the collection, the handbag exemplifies the Bon Bon bucket bag's evolution from utilitarian accessory to luxury statement piece. Introduced earlier this year and now available in three distinct sizes and a mini, it has already demonstrated its range—easily moving between crystal-coated statement piece and slouchy leather catchall. Its adjustable straps and soft silhouette embody the collection's theme of refined adaptability.

Ryder, whose career skyrocketed during the '90s with groundbreaking roles in films like Edward Scissorhands, Reality Bites, and Girl, Interrupted, brings an irreverent and timeless edge to the campaign. As Creative Director Sandra Choi explains, "Winona is iconic in her style and her acting. We were both in our early 20s during the 1990s. Her films and her aesthetic are symbolic of the decade that shaped Jimmy Choo's early years as a brand."

Beyond the staple bag, the Autumn 2024 lineup features remastered classics like the Laced Scarlett Pump and the edgy Brooklyn Biker Boot. New designs, including the oversized Diamond Tote in leather, are emblematic of the collection's offerings. A vibrant red and starch white serve as a unifying thread, emphasized by the monochromatic clothing here put forward.

As the Autumn 2024 collection hits stores and online platforms, it's clear that Jimmy Choo has crafted more than just a seasonal lineup. Against a minimalistic backdrop, the brand is showing its audience what remains when frills and fancy adverts are stripped away: edge, style, and attitude.
