Guests gathered at Cipriani Beverly Hills last night to raise a toast to the hospitality brand’s latest venture in Miami: a sky-high residence that harkens back to the company’s Venetian roots.

A new icon has risen in Florida, and it’s not a pop star or a sports maven, but a glittering addition to the skyline in the form of Cipriani Residences Miami. The Brickell-based tower is Mast Capital’s latest residential project, and the recipient of Florida’s largest single-tower construction loan thus far, at a whopping $600 million. Last night, CULTURED gathered a who’s who of tastemakers in Los Angeles to toast to the building’s imminent debut.

Guests—including tennis player Taylor Fritz and Morgan Riddle, Selling Sunset’s Mary Bonnet, former Lakers cheerleader Jenny Ting Crawford, producer and television host Nikki Haskell, and designer Alessandro Fran—sipped on classic Cipriani bellinis as they headed into the brand’s Beverly Hills jazz bar. The new addition to the Italian eatery, reflective of both Cipriani’s classic Venetian roots and strikingly modern bent, is complete with indoor palms, zebra print-coated seating, and a mirrored-ceiling. The same aesthetic character was the founding ideal for Mast Capital’s Miami iteration.

“Four iconic firms have brought Cipriani Residences Miami to life, each contributing international perspectives and expertise that uniquely qualify them to realize this extraordinary vision,” Mast Capital CEO Camilo Miguel Jr. told CULTURED. Indeed, the Miami native’s real estate investment and development firm worked alongside hospitality brand Cipriani, 1508 London, and architecture firm Arquitectonica to realize the new residences, whose upper floors feature a swath of dining rooms, lounges, and even a speakeasy.

“It’s designed for the thousands of C-suite executives and high-level employees relocating to Brickell as companies like Citadel, Blackstone, Apple, Google, and Microsoft expand their presence [in Miami],” explained Miguel. “We cater to these discerning buyers by offering intimate, exclusive experiences with private dining, lounging, and meeting spaces in a highly curated, club-like environment.”

If last night’s festivities were any indication, Cipriani Residences will have no trouble achieving the bustling atmosphere envisioned by its creators. Television stars saddled up next to athletes, editors, and fashion mainstays. Drinks disappeared from silver trays in the blink of an eye, and by the evening’s end, attendees trickled back into the night with a copy of CULTURED’s latest issue under their arm and a trip to Miami on the mind.
