Last week, the Aspen Art Museum marked the end of 2022 with The Downhill Disco—a sequined and snow-capped affair at which gogo boots were strongly encouraged.

The event, held in support of the Museum’s educational and curatorial initiatives, was co-chaired by Alexander Hankin, Suzanna Lee, and Makenzie Moon Phelan in partnership with CULTURED, Prada, and Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty, and featured a silent auction offering a trip to Milan with Prada, a private visit to Desert X, and an art-filled day in New York City.

Guests migrated to the museum’s rooftop, where they sipped cocktails and flutes of champagne—courtesy of Woody Creek Distillers, Coconut Cartel, LALO Tequila, Whispering Angel, and Moët & Chandon—while Pamela Tick and Art of Air performed against the panoramic backdrop of the Aspen Mountains. Later in the evening, the festivities gave way to an after party at Ponyboy Aspen, the Rocky Mountain outpost of the Brooklyn cocktail bar. Guests boogied into the morning hours, before turning their attention back to the slopes.
