As part of Cultured’s 10th Anniversary celebration, we are sharing the festivities with some of the artists who have been a part of our journey and continuously inspire us. Our founder, Sarah Harrelson, gave 10 of our favorite collaborators creative license to realize a one-of-a-kind Cultured cover in honor of our first decade. Beginning first with Harlem-born artist Tschabalala Self, who first appeared in Cultured’s Young Artists 2017 portfolio and created one of our first artist-edition tees, each special-edition cover will be released over the coming days. “Cultured has continually presented contemporary art and artists in new and innovative ways,” says Self, further reflecting on her inclusion in our debut Young Artists list when she was 26 years old. “It’s not so often that one gets the opportunity to be in conversation with so many of their peers so early in their career.”
