On March 5, after putting the finishing touches on their booths and the first round of gallery excursions, dealers and collectors alike flocked to the Bowery Hotel to celebrate the Armory Show’s 25th anniversary with Vhernier and Cultured. When the curtains were pushed back revealing a candlelit dinner, guests like Ana Krâs, Solange Franklin, Marianne Boesky, Lauren Haynes, Emma Hall, Ryan Gander and Elizabeth Margulies took their seats while Nicole Berry stepped into the spotlight to pay homage to the fair’s history as well as its future. Her toast extended to her teammates, many of whom were still in the thick of things after the massive move from one pier to another. “This fair couldn’t have happened with out them and now it’s better than ever before.” These warm thoughts kept the New York chill at bay.
