Pedro Almodóvar at MoMA

Cultured 25 | Nov 2016 | BY Cultured Magazine

In the post-fascist counterculture of 1980s Spain, filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar built a vibrant universe of saturated colors, sexual fluidity and a flamboyant magical realism (often starring his longtime muse Penelope Cruz).

The Museum of Modern Art celebrates the Spanish iconoclast with a career survey November 29 through December 17, screening all 20 of his films, including his latest, Julieta.
