Luxury Italian fashion house Max Mara reintroduces its quintessential 101801 coat this fall, with select events at some of its flagship stores. First released to the public in 1981, the 101801 coat was designed by Anne-Marie Beretta with an androgynous shape that has contributed to its timeless appeal.

In celebration of the iconic wardrobe staple, a traveling exhibition of archival photography by Roxanne Lowit is traveling across the country. The tour began in New York on Sept. 8 and continues to Chicago on Oct. 13, San Francisco on Oct. 27, Miami on Nov. 3 and Beverly Hills on Dec.1. To mark the 35th anniversary, Max Mara has released the 101801 in two new colors—oatmeal and black—bound to join the classic camel's icon status.
