On September 8, the Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles held a preview party to celebrate its long-awaited reopening. The museum’s inaugural exhibitions were on display, including “Martín Ramírez: His Life in Pictures, Another Interpretation,” “Abigail DeVille: No Space Hidden (Shelter)” and Sarah Cain’s outdoor painting installation Now I’m going to tell you everything. The ICA L.A.’s new space in a renovated industrial building in Downtown Los Angeles was designed under the leadership of Kulapat Yantrasast’s wHY architecture studio. Guests included Catherine Opie, Joy Simmons, Shelley Holcomb and Kenny Scharf.
