Dana Haim

Cultured 25 | Oct 2014 | BY Tali Jaffe

“I’ve been drawn to textiles since I was little,” says Dana Haim, a Brooklyn-based artist and textiles designer. “I always had a little rag or blanket with me for comfort and I really think it all started there.” The RISD and Central St. Martins-trained Haim, who cites Sheila Hicks, Anni Albers and Gunta Stölzl as “textile heroes,” creates playful and imaginative works, including her signature pom mobiles and weavings, wallpaper and, recently, ceramics, which are sold at ABC Home and online at Sight Unseen and One Kings Lane. She’s also outfitted New York’s Bird boutique with holiday windows and Stone Fox Bride with large installations.
